Where Sam Winchester shows his true colours

I must admit I tend to steer clear of Supernatural het simply because I don't think there are that many 'decent' female characters in the show. I wonder if that's the issue rather than that people don't want to write het. I've written evil!Samantha/Dean *g*, but there isn't a single female in the show that I'd want to match Sam up with, other than Jess. I don't have an issue with any of the actresses in Supernatural but just think that the charaters are either way too 2-dimensional or just haven't been utilised enough. Shame really because the comm could do with more het and long gen stories (which I particularly love).
