• What's the theme then? Anything Samhain/All Hallows' Eve/Halloween/Day of the Dead/Shadowfest appropriate, so think horror, supernatural, fantasy, thriller, death, religion (old and new), anything otherworldly... You know – the usual Supernatural stuff but of course it must include Sam in whatever evil/dark/demonic … permutation you might like :D


There is no need to 'reserve' a prompt for yourself (though feel free to comment on each other's prompts, the prompter will undoubtedly be thrilled to know if you're considering their idea or even agree that it's the best ever). More than one person can use the same prompt as inspiration. Similarly, no one is obligated to use the prompts here.

I've read this scenario lots of times and I've written it once, but I never get tired of seeing people's take on it: Sam lets Dean go so he can hunt him down again. Gimme ALL the running, terrified, badass, hurt or other things along those lines Dean and implacable, unstoppable, untiring pissed off, or chillingly calm (or other things along those lines) Sam.

OK, here goes...sorry for the length of this prompt...

Young Sam used to go to horror movies with his friends in an attempt to fit in. Since the films didn't show anything that scared him, he watched the startled, fearful looks on people's faces. Their silly fear made him feel stronger, better than them.

Older, Evil Sam is thrilled/addicted by the initial terror and horror on Dean's face when he realizes the irredeemable evil that Sam has become. Sam comes up with a way(ways) to keep that response 'fresh' (de novo), day after day...the nuances of Dean's repeat performances temporarily satisfy Sam's need. I'm sure you folks can come up with some twisted, horrifying ways for Sam to do this!

It's the first birthday Sam's celebrated since becoming the de facto king of Hell. Dean is either completely stumped about what to get him or (darker) he isn't keen on giving Sam what he wants from him.

Who wouldn't be moved seeing Dean Winchester stood (naked) holding back the forces of evil/ a horde of vampires/demons etc with just the cross in his hand and the purity of his heart.

That's what the chronicles said. Sam knew something different.
