It's Halloween, and Sam and Dean are in Sunnydale to check out reports of witch activity. Costumed for anonymity amongst the town's trick-or-treaters, they patrol in relative quiet until Dean loses contact with Sam. The "trick" of the night manifests itself in horror and pain as a twisted and sadistic mind seizes Dean.
Written for the 2014 edition of Evil!Sam Halloween!
This story takes place early in Supernatural. The crossover with Buffy matches up by my magic decree, so don't worry about the math.
