So, LJ now has the option where communities can be flagged, and where we can decide to self-censor. I'm sure the vast majority of us already do this.
So, the community can be left unflagged, it can be flagged as having adult concepts (which blocks out people 14 and under), or it can be flagged as explicit (which blocks out people under 18).
So, the question is, do we want to set the community as explicit, ie nobody under 18 will be able to read the fic.
This is basically a way for LJ to get around the fact that underage people might be viewing what's on journals/communities etc.
I'm not quite sure what people who are underage see if they try and go into an explicit community/journal but I'm sure it's enough to warn them away! Not taking into account of course that people may lie about their ages! Shock, horror.
Anyway, enough of that. As moderators
xphoenixrising and I don't simply think that we should or shouldn't flag the community without some input from members.
So, here's a little poll to let us know what you think.
